Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information SchoolForEveryone (schoolforeveryone.com, operated by Talha Ahmed) collects, how it's used, and what control you have over it.

1. What we collect

When you create an account:

• Name, email address, and password (stored as a one-way hash — we never store or can see your actual password)
• Country, and school name if you provide one

If you're a teacher and set up a listing:

• Your headline, bio, and chosen specializations
• The availability slots you add

When a trial is booked:

• The subject and optional note you enter for the teacher
• The booking's date and time

If you contact us through the Help Center, we collect your name, email, and message.

2. How we use it

We use your information to operate the platform: authenticating your login, displaying teacher listings to students, managing bookings, and letting you communicate with the other party once a booking is confirmed. We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't sell it to third parties.

3. Who can see what

• A teacher's headline, bio, specializations, name, country, and school name are public — visible to anyone browsing the site, whether or not they have an account.
• Email addresses are private by default. Once a trial booking is confirmed, we share each party's email with the other so you can coordinate the lesson.
• We (the platform operator) can see account and booking data for the purpose of running and moderating the platform.

4. How we store it

Your data is stored in a database hosted on our infrastructure provider (Hostinger). Passwords are hashed with bcrypt before storage. Your login session is kept in your browser's local storage as a signed token; we don't use tracking cookies or third-party analytics at this time.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, email us at talhaxp97@gmail.com and we'll remove it.

6. Your rights

You can review and update most of your information directly — your profile, listing, and availability are editable from your dashboard. For anything you can't change yourself, or to request a copy or deletion of your data, contact us directly.

7. Children's privacy

SchoolForEveryone is intended for users 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if we introduce payment processing or analytics — we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
